Students continue to work on Lunar Motion and Phases project (Smartboard notes 3-21-11). Today’s weather (rain) meant we were not able to take the measurements for the Eratosthenes Project; however, in anticipation of bad weather some data was obtained on 3-19-11. We will discuss this and the calculations on Wednesday. Moon Phase homework is due 3-23-11 (see 3-18-11 for copies).

Wrapped up sky domes and began notes on earth motions and lunar motions. Watched a Jay Leno piece on John Glenn’s return to space. Students were able to get xcredit for their constellation flashcards. There will be some questions on the test about a star’s spectra.
