Lunar motion and phases activity continues. Make sure you look for the super moon on Saturday (see 3-17-11 post). Moon Phases – HW handed out to place Moon phase photos (2 sets for in case you mess up) in proper order for current lunar cycle (due Wed 3-23).
Students used a model of the Earth-Moon-Sun system to illustrate that the Moon’s rotation and revolution are synchronous. The same model was used to show the different phases of the Moon. Using digital cameras, the students photographed their models in preparation for a presentation using Google Docs.
