Double lab period to work on procedure and hypothesis – uploaded to Edmodo TODAY!  Background research is due on Tuesday – again uploaded to Edmodo.  Students worked on their IR and are ready to start on experiments on Monday!

Independent Research day 1 – students chose their projects and got in their orders for me for supplies!

Today we went over the requirements for the students Independent Research Projects – all information on GD and all materials uploaded on specifics due dates to Edmodo.  See attached notes HERE

College Board AP Biology exam today, so those of us who were in class worked on cleaning up the middle lab from the cat dissections.  Tomorrow we will start the IR project!

Round robin essay activity – student groups were given old AP Bio essay topics and were given a limited amount of time in their group to brainstorm bullet statements to answer the essay.  They then uploaded their lists on the class Edmodo page and we discussed them, before randomly selected members were rotated to the next group for another essay questions.  Course exam starts tomorrow!!

Today I made breakfast and brought it in for the students, who are studying hard for their course exam in 2 days and the AP Bio exam on Monday.  After breakfast, the students loosely did the AP Bio cardiovascular lab – we took EKG readings of each other and practiced taking blood pressures.  After the lab, the students got in their lab groups and self graded their practice exam essays using the AP Bio College Board rubrics.

Today students graded their take home MC practice exam.  I then gave them time to review the labs on the Moodle website.  Tomorrow I will serve them breakfast in class and we will work on the essay exams.
