Today we presented some of our house and family projects. In one of our classes only 8 of us were there due to the Hershey field trip. Some of those who presented (to only 7 people) liked it better that way. :)
Our final is on Wednesday, May 30, so take advantage of the nice weather by studying Spanish outside! :)
We had a good turn out at the 7th grade lunch session today. In class, we took the 5.2 Quiz. I look forward to grading them. The projects are due tomorrow. Hershey Park students know that they need to turn theirs in tomorrow morning, if they haven’t already. Be safe and have a good weekend if I don’t see you tomorrow!
Today we reviewed last night’s homework which practiced with the verbs parecer and tocar. We also answered any more questions about the projects (which are due on Friday (even if you’re going to Hershey)). The students started a worksheet in class today as I helped some people with specific questions about their projects. Be sure to study for tomorrow’s quiz! (5.2 Flash cards, 5.2 Vocabulary, the verb estar (don’t forget the accent marks), and sentences like, “The dog is on top of the chair.” or “I never wash the dishes.”, and the negation words)
I hope the volleyball game went well! I brought my things to play, but we couldn’t find someone to cover detention. If you won, you’re lucky I wasn’t there! 
We reviewed page 59 in the workbook which let us practice using negations. We watched the gramavisión video on negations and tocar and parecer. We did activity 34 on page 209 in the textbook. We then worked on the 5.2 Grammar Fill-in Sheet (on Moodle). These are to be finished for tomorrow, but the sentence translations on that sheet do not need to be done. Workbook page 60 is due tomorrow. It’s the last page of the book!!! The quiz is on Thursday and the project is due on Friday!
Any 8th grade students that want to come in for lunch help with their projects or to practice for the quiz are more than invited to do so tomorrow!
We took some time at the beginning of class to answer any questions about the project. Presenting the project memorized will be worth one point, so if someone decides to not memorize it, the highest grade they can receive is a 95%. We also discussed using the verb estar with the proximity words. We then reviewed the negation words (page 208 in the textbook). Tonight’s homework is to do page 59 in the workbook. The quiz is on Thursday and the project is due on Friday.
Today we discussed any questions on projects that arose and how to structure some of the sentences. The project is due on Friday. We also reviewed this weeks homework’s on pages 55-57 in the workbook. The 5.2 Grammar Sheet was also handed out today. The 5.2 Vocabulary and Grammar Quiz will be on Thursday. Tonight’s homework is to do page 58 in the workbook.

We passed off the Proximity Rhyme today. (You can practice on the Moodle.) We also did activity #25 on page 202 in the textbook today. Tonight’s homework is to do #18 on page 57 in the workbook.
We reviewed the Proximity Rhyme (It needs to be memorized by Thursday.) and our 5.2 Vocabulary Sheet. We then worked on a “House Plans” worksheet in which the students label the rooms, items and chores in a house. The worksheet can be found on the Moodle for a better explanation. Some finished it and turned it in and the rest will be turning it in tomorrow. The other homework for this evening is to do #15 on page 55 in the workbook.
How is the project going?! That’s due on May 18.
Today we started out going over any questions anyone had about the project. We then worked on memorizing the Proximity Rhyme. They need to be memorized by Thursday. We then reviewed the 5.2 Flash Cards. Tonight’s homework is to do activity 14 on page 55 in the workbook. Our next quiz (5.2 Vocab. and Grammar) is on Thursday, May 17 and the projects are due on Friday, May 18.
