I received an email from a teacher in the elementary level. She was using Moodle when her kiddos looked up and saw her first name in the upper right of the screen. She wondered if we couldn’t do something about that.
Thankfully, our database support specialist modified Moodle for us, and we can now direct Moodle to display our name in the structure we prefer. I can now be Aly Tapp, Mrs. Tapp, Ms. Tapp, Mr. Tapp (although my husband would protest), or even Dr. Tapp (which would be a bold lie).
We may eventually get this to the point where teachers can change this setting themselves, but for now, if you would like to change the way your name displays, please notify me and I will make the change for you.
Oh, and one other thing: You will notice that the “move” icon has changed. Instead of clicking on the up/down arrow and then getting a series of “where do you want it to land” boxes, you will now see crosshairs. Drag and drop in the location of your choice. Nice, eh?!
